Rustic Barn Wedding Venue in Devon
Nestling in twelve acres of the beautiful Tamar valley on the edge of Dartmoor and down a winding country lane you will find Wonwood Barton, a unique 19th century farmstead brimming with charm and character, surrounded by glorious countryside with spectacular views towards Cornwall. Converted from the original buildings the beamed traditional roundhouse, a large pretty colourful courtyard and eclectic private suites with a south facing lawn and extensive grounds beyond, will provide you with a stunning rural setting for a very special and wonderful wedding.
Wonwood Barton Weddings
Wonwood Barton is an exclusive use and open all year around with different wedding packages depending on season and number of guests. The Roundhouse is a perfect space for smaller weddings of up to 50 guests and we can accommodate 70 seated guests in 2025. The Greenfield Marquee has space for up to 120 guests and plenty of room for different seating options, separate head table, games and performances, as well as a great dance floor to strut your stuff into the evening. The Corner Barn is a brilliant place for intimate settings such as Small and Elopement weddings.

Devon Wedding Photography
Can’t believe it’s taken me over a year to blog this beautiful wedding! When Poppy first got in touch she described their wedding as being rustic and personal. They wanted a smaller intimate ceremony with just under 40 day time guests with more coming later for the party.
This was my first visit to Wonwood Barton and despite the rain it didn’t disappoint! This charming Devon country barn certainly had a rustic charm. Β This venue includes accommodation for family which takes out the stress of traveling to the venue in the morning.
Poppy was keen to have the bridal prep time included in the photos – this is one of my favourite parts of the day and a great chance to catch all those raw emotions and nerves as you prepare for the ceremony.
Poppy & Glyn’s day was a relaxed, intimate and fun wedding day. The fish & chip cones after the ceremony were very popular as was the rest of the food when it was time for the wedding breakfast. It rained most of the day but this didn’t dampen anyone’s enjoyment of the day. We embraced the weather, taking umbrellas with us for some super cute couple shots. Poppy’s Dad made the chair swing with the date of the wedding as a special gift for them so that had to feature in some shots! The rain finally stopped just in time for some golden hour shots and then it was time for the Swing Kings to get the party started.
This wedding was full of personal touches and lots of laughter as you can see from the photos. I loved being part of it, thanks Poppy & Glyn for choosing me to be your Wonwood Barton wedding photographer.
