I was privileged to photograph a fundraising event for a charity I have long supported recently. One25 is a Bristol based charity that reaches out to women trapped in, or vulnerable to, street sex work, supporting them to break free and build new lives away from violence, poverty and addiction. “Dinner 4 Good” is a new idea to raise money for the charity by throwing a dinner party and asking guests to contribute to the cause.
This first “Dinner 4 Good” was made by Barny Haughton from the Square Food Foundation and some of the service users who had been taking a cooking class with him. This was a wonderful event and everyone worked so hard to make it happen. It was particularly lovely to see how well the women worked together and what an amazing feast they created. The guests all loved the food and they raised over a Β£1000 for the charity. They are now hoping that everyone who came will be inspired to host their own “Dinner 4 Good” spreading the message about the work of One25 and raising money in a fun way.
