Newborn baby photography

I had such a lovely time with 2 month old baby Kian & his Mum Becky last week. Kian was a real star, despite being woken up from his nap he was very good tempered about it all and was a natural in front of the camera. We choose to do the shoot in a family member’s home as they had a lovely bright space we could use. I chose to use natural light for the shoot as I felt the flashes of studio lighting might upset him. The lovely big french doors and my light reflector made the perfect studio environment and we cranked up the heating to ensure Kian was warm and happy. I chose to shoot Kian on a couple of different colour backdrops for some variety.

Some of my favourite shots however are the natural moments with his Mum. These moments pass so quickly and before we know it Kian will have grown and changed so much. I love his varied facial expressions and some of the details like his tiny toes and super cute hands.
