Clifton wedding photography
Steff & David at Christchurch Clifton, Bristol
I’m delighted to be able to share some highlights from Steff & David’s recent Clifton wedding photography. This sweet couple met at university a couple of years ago and have spent much of their time dating living in different countries. There was a real atmosphere of celebration and joy at this wedding as you could tell that everyone was delighted for Steff & David to be able to start their married lives together in the same country at last. Planning a wedding can be stressful at the best of times so hats off to these two for organising such a beautiful wedding from across two continents!
Steff wore a beautiful gown hand-made by her talented friend Ferina Tan in Jakarta, Indonesia. I love the detail of the flowers in the lace and it suited Steff beautifully. I really enjoy being around for the getting ready shots and all the hustle and bustle of getting ready for the wedding. There are often some emotional moments as the bride gets into her dress and it all starts to get real. The service was held in the beautiful Christchurch Clifton, a beautiful traditional Anglican church in the heart of Clifton and just a short walk away from the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. Steff has such a lovely smile and an infectious laugh, it was lovely to see her laughing and smiling through the ceremony. Some of my favourite images from this wedding are of Steff laughing with her bridesmaids or with David.
After a joyful service we took some family photographs outside the church before heading down to the Clifton Suspension Bridge to take some time out with just the bride and groom. I often receive feedback that this is one of th bride and groom’s favourite parts of the day as it gives them a chance to catch up with each other and take a breath before going back to see everyone. It also allows me the chance to take some stunning natural portraits of just the two of you. We then headed back to the newly renovated Redland Parish Church for the reception. This hall was light and spacious and looked great with the bunting, fairy lights and flowers. After a hearty hog roast meal the guests laughed their way through the speeches and got ready for the Ceilidh band in the evening. Steff & David didn’t have an official first dance but enjoyed dancing along with everyone else in the ceilidh.
