A Relaxed May Wedding at Carwinion House, Cornwall
Amazing, lovely and 100% recommend!
Hannah was extremely friendly and approachable from the outset. She listened to our thoughts on a pre-wedding call and absolutely nailed our vision! She’s so easy going and relaxed and that’s exactly what we wanted for our day. The package was reasonably priced and the turnaround time was incredible so we got our fully edited photos so fast! I couldn’t recommend Hannah enough, you’d be so lucky to have her as your photographer.
Sophie & James at Carwinion House
Sophie and James’ May wedding at Carwinion House was one of those days that felt effortlessly joyful from start to finish. Sunshine, an outdoor ceremony, incredible flowers, BBQ food and a packed marquee dance floor — it was relaxed, personal and full of laughter. Days like this are exactly why I love being a Cornwall wedding photographer, especially at a venue as special as Carwinion House.
Everything about the day suited a documentary wedding photography approach — natural moments, genuine connection and a celebration that never felt rushed or over-styled.
Why Carwinion House Is Such a Special Wedding Venue
What makes Carwinion House weddings stand out is the atmosphere. It’s a family-run wedding venue in Cornwall, and that personal, welcoming feel sets the tone from the moment you arrive. Nothing feels rushed or over-structured — it’s a place where couples can do things their way and guests can truly settle in.
The house itself is full of character, with beautiful grounds that naturally draw people outside. In spring and early summer, the wisteria climbing across the front of the house is stunning and adds so much colour and texture to the setting. It’s the kind of backdrop that looks amazing without needing anything added.
An Outdoor Ceremony That Feels Effortless
Sophie and James chose an outdoor ceremony at Carwinion House, making the most of the May sunshine and the peaceful surroundings. Outdoor ceremonies here feel intimate and unfussy, with guests close by and the natural setting doing the heavy lifting.
It’s ideal for couples who want a ceremony that feels personal rather than formal — relaxed, emotional and full of genuine moments.
