Steff & David at Blaise Castle

What a lovely time I had with Steff & David taking these Bristol engagement portraits at Blaise Castle recently. We were blessed with another gorgeous sunny spring day and enjoyed a lovely stroll around the estate. This sweet couple met at university a couple of years ago and are due to get married next month at Christchurch Clifton. They have spent much of the last year apart as Steff has been away while David has been working in Bristol. Planning a wedding can be stressful at the best of times so extra credit goes to this couple for managing to plan it from across two different continents! Spending time with Steff and David you can see how excited they are to be about to start their married lives together in the same city at last.

One of the reasons I offer engagement portraits with my wedding packages is that it gives us a good chance to get to know each other before the wedding day. It is also useful for me to see what you are like naturally with your partner and you can get a taste of how I work on the wedding day. I offer some suggestions in terms of posing where it is needed but often the best shots are when you relax and forget I am there and just enjoy some time out with your partner. Some of my favourite shots from this session are when Steff is laughing or the walking shots where they are just enjoying some time together in the sun.
