Anna & Joseph’s Bath wedding
It was a joy to photograph Anna & Joseph’s special wedding day recently. I was impressed with how relaxed and easy going the bride was in the run up to the wedding, and I really enjoyed seeing how they made the day their own. I think their guests would agree the day really reflected them as a couple, this wedding was great fun to shoot as it was full of so much fun and laughter.
We met around midday atΒ The Bell pub in Bath where the majority of the couple’s friends were getting together to have a drink and some lunch. The wedding ceremony itself was limited to immediate family so they wanted to do something for all the many friends that would be joining them later for the evening reception. It was a lovely relaxed time for the friends to get together and have a drink and wish the bride and groom good luck. Afterwards I went with Anna to the Number Three hairdressing salon to take some shots as she had her hair done. Anna had her sister for company to help calm any nerves before the ceremony and take a moment together. Anna wore a dress that she sourced herself from eBay at a bargain and accessorised it with a family heirloom from Joseph’s grandmother. The red shoes poking out from under Anna’s gown were another nice personal touch.
It was soon time to head to the beautiful Guildhall register office for the ceremony. This gorgeous Grade I listed building is situated in the heart of the ancient city and is surrounded by so much history. As family gathered outside the register office we had a chance to take a few photographs before the ceremony. The ceremony was an intimate gathering with lots of heart and it was clear that everyone was delighted to see these two get married.
The wedding reception was held at the White Hart Inn, a charming venue with friendly staff and a gorgeous colourful courtyard garden full of flowers. The canapes looked delicious and the weather was perfect for enjoying the garden. The speeches gave lots of laughs and everyone enjoyed the delicious hog roast later on in the evening. As it started to get dark the bride and groom gathered everyone for their first dance, a high energy dance that had everyone joining in.
Guests can view all the photographs and order any prints they might like from my Client Gallery (you will need to ask the bride or groom for the password). Here are some highlights from the day, you can click on any image to view larger or as a slideshow.
It was lovely to be a part of your day, Anna & Joseph and I hope these photographs bring back many special memories. Wishing you both all the best for the future together. x
