What a privilege and joy it was to photograph Elizabeth & John’s beautiful winter wedding. The day started with the getting ready shots at her family home. Elizabeth had six bridesmaids helping her stay calm and get ready. They even had time to enjoy a special brunch, before helping each other to get into their infinity bridesmaids dresses. The bridesmaids dresses were such a lovely shade of green and it was lovely to see how differently each bridesmaid chose to wear theirs.
Everyone had tears in theirs eyes when they saw how stunning Elizabeth looked in her custom made wedding gown. She wore beautiful Jenny Packham shoes and custom made jewellery by one of her talented bridesmaids Julianne Edbrooke Jewellery. There was just time for a few shots of everyone in their finest in the family garden before I made my way over to Christ Church Clifton for the wedding ceremony. I loved the light in Christ Church, especially as they moved toward the back of the great hall to sign the registers. One of my favourite shots was taken as they stood in a beam of light that had such a filmic quality to it.
We took some group shots on the steps of this great church before I whisked the Bride & Groom away for some shots of just the two of them. We headed over to the Clifton Suspension Bridge where the light was just perfect! Looking across the Avon Gorge at the trees on the far side was such a gorgeous back drop for this happy couple to enjoy some time alone as husband and wife. Knowing they both have a love of trees I was really pleased we chose this spot for the Bride and Groom portraits.
Soon after we headed on to the reception venue at The Elmgrove Centre where the whole place had been decorated with twinkling lights. The wedding breakfast was a bit different for this wedding as they chose to serve a variety of Indian curries, which went down very well with the guests. After some emotional speeches the cake was cut and it was soon onto the evenings entertainment. Elizabeth & John were led through their first dance by the cèilidh caller who soon got all the guests in the dancing mood.
It was a lovely day to be part of and I wish you both the very best for the future adventures that lay ahead of you.
